"Look, I caught a deer"

We were at church on Sunday and while we were visiting afterwards the kids went out to the playground to play. We were heading to our car and to tell the kids it was time to go and this is what we saw!
Brock almost yelled at him to get off but then we just couldn't help but laugh. I realized I had my camera with so instead of yelling we took pictures :-) I am not sure why this deer was in the church backyard???

Hannah Playing Ball

Hannah has really changed alot in the last couple weeks - she is even more interactive - loves to play with the kids, does things to get reactions (will keep repeating if we laugh) like flop down on the bed or crawl behind the couch pillows, she makes funny faces just to be funny (like fish lips). She is starting to show her temper quite a bit also. If we are outside and I pick her up to bring her in she gets MAD. Thankfully, she is learning that just because she gets mad that doesn't mean she gets her way! She also gives great big hugs out of the blue - which is so adorable!

Out for a Ride

Our friend Greta was home for a couple days so we all went on a ride. It was a bit chilly but still a blast.
Hope the carseat isn't cramping your style!! :-)
We found an old abandoned building and had fun exploring. Actually we didn't make it to far because a bird flew out shortly after Brock and the kids went in and it freaked them out, and me because I was afraid there were more (not a fan of birds thanks to the movie "The Birds") :-)

We were riding through some mud so that is why I have some on my nose :-) What fun is riding without a little mud to slosh through??? (is slosh a word?)

She wasn't sure what to think of the grass!

Greta and Hannah admiring the sunset

Isaac is always ready for a picture!! We finally had to tell him he could stop smiling now, we (Greta was taking pics too) were done taking pictures!
If only Hannah were in this shot it would be a good family picture!

Our Water Baby

As you can see Hannah loved the water, although she had her moments of uncertainty! :-)

Pretty in Pink

When I saw this outfit in Target I had to buy it because it is a total blast from the past. I used to wear these outfits when I was little - I wish I had some pictures here to put on with it. The only difference is mine were terry cloth :-) It is so funny to be old enough to see styles going out and coming back in again.

I know I posted this picture on her birthday post but it is so cute I couldn't resist :-)

Lambert's Cafe

On our way home from the beach we stopped in Foley, AL at Lambert's Cafe "the only home of the throwed rolls" It was a fun experience and we ate plenty (especially the "throwed rolls")!!
Luckily while we waited for a table there was plenty of stuff for the kids to do

Here is Kate catching a roll.
Jack's turn to catch one

There was one guy walking around throwing rolls to people and another person walking around with apple butter, molasses or butter to go on them. There were also several servers going around offering "pass arounds" - samples of different things. We tried fried potatoes and onions (so good!), macaroni and tomatoes (Hannah loved), black-eyed peas (another favorite of Hannah's - I thought they were pretty good) and fried okra (YUM, I really liked this)

A great photo background on the side of their building

Ft. Walton Beach, Day 1

On our first day at the beach it was a red flag so really powerful, big waves. The kids really got thrown around but they loved it. It kind of freaked me out, especially when it made Madison do a cartwheel and sent Isaac flying up on the beach. We kept them close by and sat right there to grab if necessary. :-)
Hey Buddy maybe you want to pull up your shorts before you lose them!
As Grayson said, "That boy couldn't have gotten a sunburn if he tried!"
Grandma and Mary and Isaac letting the waves hit them

Every wave was so powerful but it was so fun to sit there and feel them sweep over you

Hannah loved the water, unless the wave got a little to close to her face then she didn't like it

All tuckered out! Isn't it funny how they are both sleeping with their arms above their head.
